Trustee since retiring in 2006
What I do
Whilst my main role is initially to support the CEO with resources matters, I also take the notes at Trustee meetings and help out with anything else that crops up.
What I did before
I worked as an Employment Law Adviser for the BMA for 18 years.
I was recruited to Basis through a colleague at the BMA - I have learned so much since joining about sex work and CSE. It's very sad to hear about all the bad things that happen, but gratifying to know that the girls at Basis are working so hard to support those who suffer at the hands of others.
A little bit about me
I like baking, knitting, holidays and spending time with my 6 grandchildren. Not being in employment also means that I have time to help out with tasks at Basis as and when I am needed.
