What I do

Trustee responsible for Marketing and Communications of the charity. I Basis after being referred by another Trustee and took up the position because I believe in the charity’s ethos of providing safety, information and support to enable women and girls to make their own life choices.

What I did before

I have worked in the healthcare field since 2001, beginning her career at Barnsley General Hospital before moving to the world renowned Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in 2003. Since then I've worked in several roles supporting commissioning, mental health services, urgent care and emergency preparedness. I'm currently at a national healthcare company, leading on business development, communications and marketing. I specialise in social marketing, PR, communications and relationship management.

I worked on a number of award-winning campaigns most notably coordinating the NHS response to the Tour de Yorkshire Le Grand Depart and leading the Leeds “Got A Cough” campaign which has improved outcomes for people with lung cancer.

A little bit about me

In my spare time, I can usually be found outdoors camping, cycling or wandering the countryside. I'm also a keen traveller having most recently spent time in Egypt, India and Madagascar where I met Galileo, one of the world’s oldest giant tortoises!
