We are hiring a Project and Outreach Assistant Year in Industry Placement

We are pleased to offer a student at Leeds University the opportunity to work with our award-winning charity as part of a team dedicated to supporting vulnerable women and young people. We are looking for a passionate individual who can embrace our core values of respect, trust and dignity  and relate to our position statement on the work we do.

This role gives the unique opportunity to:
  • Be involved in a diverse range of opportunities from organising events, marketing and communications, to working directly with service users
  • Develop a wide range of skills from organisation and time management to working effectively with potentially vulnerable women and young people
  • Access a diverse set of training opportunities relating to working with  women and young people
  • See first-hand how a high impact small charity runs on an everyday basis

The right candidate will have a chance to have autonomy with decision making and develop the role according to their skills.

This role is only available to Leeds University students who are currently in their second year
Additional information
  • This is an unpaid position but a stipend of £10 a day will be provided to cover transport and lunch (during the year students are eligible for student finance).
  • Some evening work may be required. The hours are flexible so can accommodate other commitments, which includes the start date.
  • The placement fulfils the requirements for the Year in Industry placement of a minimum 1200 hours ( 4 days over 9 months or 3 days over 12).
  • A full DBS Check will be required before the placement can commence work.
  • Supervision: The student placement will be supervised by the Business Development and Marketing Manager.
  • Applicants must be in their second year of study at the University of Leeds.
