Project and Outreach Assistant:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a key individual to join the Team at Basis Yorkshire. The Project Assistant role is a great opportunity for University of Leeds students to gain experience in the charity sector for their year in industry placement.

Basis Yorkshire is an award winning small charity that was founded in 1995 and now operates across Yorkshire. This is a unique opportunity to join a challenging and vibrant organisation, working with women and young people who are involved in sex work or being sexually exploited. We are looking to appoint:-

Project and Outreach Assistant

21 hours per week for 12 months OR 28 hours per week for 9 months. (1200 hours)

Please note, this role is open to University of Leeds students who identify as female only.

This role reports to the Business Development and Marketing Manager but also supports both Basis Young People and Basis Sex Work project. The support role includes with awareness raising, marketing and communications, research, logistical and/or administrative support as well as direct support to service delivery with young people and/or sexwork.

You will be based in Leeds (in-office work will be COVID-19 dependent) and may need to work unsocial hours.
