Support for Change

All sex working women should have the freedom to make an informed choice

The ATHENA Project provides intensive support women who are sex working or have sex worked in the past , some of whom are interested in make changes to their lives which may include leaving sexwork.

These changes could include:

  • Accessing stable housing
  • Reducing substance use
  • Accessing education, training or alternative employment (funded by CLLD   – ESF)
  • Accessing benefits
  • Reducing or exiting sex work

Our ATHENA worker can help you identify your needs and goals and support you to achieve them. This will be done through practical and emotional support on a one to one basis. We may also refer you to other services in Basis such as our ISVA, our Housing First Program, our CLLD (ETE) or mental health support.
