What I do
My role is to identify new opportunities to further meet the needs of our service users and source funding for these, either on our own or through partnerships, raise awareness of and funds in the community for our work as well as advocate for our service users through social media, our website, newsletters etc. I also coordinate and promote our training and awareness raising program.
What I did before
After I graduated from university, I worked as a relationship management and sales in the private sector, and following a masters in International Development I worked for consultancy and training services for not for profit orgs. Before I joined Basis I managed programs for a charity supporting children in developing countries who have experienced abuse and violence at home or on the streets.
A little bit about me
I love travelling to see friends, reading good books, going camping or just hanging out with my family and friends.
