Trustee since 2006
I’m a lecturer and researcher in Social Policy and Crime at The University of York, focusing on vulnerability and also the research lead on Leeds City Council's Prostitution Strategic Partnership.
Before my PhD , I worked in the voluntary sector for around ten years as a practitioner and manager, including as support worker for sex workers and sexually exploited young people and at a young people’s drugs service and Leeds Women’s Aid. I was Chair for a number of years until 2017 and have also supported Basis Sex Work Outreach.
A little bit personal about me
Having recently got into swimming, Kate has done the Great North Swim three times to raise over £3000 for Basis Yorkshire… and this year she's doing the triathlon!
