My role

As a former Chair I contribute to a range of issues including supporting the new Chair in her new role.

My background

I am a self employed Management Consultant and Executive coach. I generally work with not for profit and public sector organisations. I provide support to board teams and individuals to help them improve their effectiveness, management skills and develop governance structures and behaviours that allow them to focus on better outcomes for their clients. I am also an Associate Lecturer in Business at Anglia Ruskin University and a Chartered Member of CIPD. Before moving into self-employment, I worked for over 25 years in Human Resources, Organisational and Management Development in the Health Service and University Sector, mostly in the West Yorkshire region. Prior to that I served in the Royal Navy in variety of roles at home and abroad.

I have a range of interests including being an active Reservist in the Royal Navy. To keep fit I play football and cycle. In 2016, I cycled from London to Paris for charity and am looking for other two-wheeled challenges to raise money for Basis and other local charities.
