My role

I am the Service Delivery Manager for the young people’s team. I help support the team in their roles. I attend meetings around Leeds, Bradford and Hul about our service and how we can work with other agencies to support young people. I am also the safeguarding lead for Basis and am the person who you can contact if you have any concerns, compliments or complaints about our service.

My background

I have worked with children, young people and families for the past 18 years. I am passionate about creating trauma informed services that help to meet people where they are at with support that feels good to them. I have worked in a number of different settings including schools, the community and in the West Yorkshire Sexual Assault Referral Centre. In 2012 I completed a degree in Supporting Young People, Children and Families at Leeds Trinity and I am currently studying a management qualification.

I am originally from Brighton and still have my Southern accent after 16 years of living in Yorkshire! I am a mum to 2 young children who keep me very busy when I am not in work and who bring me a lot of joy. I am really into cooking and baking, I even used to make wedding cakes when I was younger, though now I just seem to make novelty birthday cakes for family members!
