Marketing & Sales Assistant since September 2019

My role

I support the Business Development & Marketing Manager with the organisation and coordination of Basis Training & Education, as well as the comms for the wider charity. I enable the development and delivery of training, conferences & events, venue hire, educational resources, campaigns, fundraising and merchandising for Basis Yorkshire and Training. I also develop and coordinate content on top of our various social media accounts, create promotional materials, or support the building of our marketing strategy. I also take part in street outreach.

My background

I’m originally from the Midlands but moved up North for university. I graduated from the University of York in 2018 with a degree in English and History. I then moved to Leeds to do a Masters in Postcolonial Literature and did my thesis on Decriminalising Sex Work in Film and Literature. I also volunteered with Amnesty International throughout my degree.

A little bit personal about me

I’m a big reader of novels and non-fiction and also love swimming and getting out into the countryside. I am also interested in politics and history,
