We provide training on a wide range of issues such as:
Child Sexual Exploitation (CPD Certified Level 2 and 3)
Developing a sex worker friendly service
Understanding sexual violence and exploring responses
School sessions for staff and young girls on CSE and online safety
For many years we have informally delivered training to professionals and shared our expertise in order to raise awareness with young people
Developing this area of our work, we officially launched Basis Training & Education in 2012 as a specialist training organisation. The income generated in reinvested into our frontline charitable work supporting young people at risk of CSE and women working in the sex industry in Leeds.
Our training teams include qualified trainers, experienced frontline practitioners and education experts. Working together, we create bespoke CPD®-certified courses, with an understanding of your unique organisational experiences.
Using our and other frontline staff as trainers, our heritage and grassroots work provides a unique foundation for providing effective and relevant training within current social issues.
Our courses are designed to meet your organisation’s individual requirements and delivered by experts in an interactive and engaging way. We understand that every organisation is different and our friendly team work closely with you to understand your requirements. Our bespoke courses are then designed to address your unique challenges and specific needs, allowing the flexibility to meet your budget and timescales.

Child Friendly Leeds
Basis Training is proud to be a partner in child friendly Leeds. We want Leeds to be the best place to grow up in the whole of the UK. To help make this happen, the city is bringing schools, businesses, voluntary organisations, families and individuals together to make Leeds a child friendly city. In a child friendly Leeds, children and young people are valued, supported, enjoy growing up, and look forward to a bright future. Children and young people’s views are listened to and acted on, and they can make a difference in their school, their community and the city as a whole.
