Navigation Support Worker
My role
My job is about being alongside sex workers and helping make things feel a little easier. Sometimes that means pointing people in the right direction for things like housing, healthcare, or benefits. Other times, it’s sitting down over a cup of tea and just listening. Every day looks a bit different — I might be helping with paperwork one day, going along to an appointment the next, or just being there when someone needs a safe, non-judgmental space to talk. What matters most to me is that people feel respected, heard, and supported in whatever choices they make. Nobody should have to face things on their own, and I’m here to make sure they don’t have to.
At the heart of my job is the belief that everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and the chance to be heard.
