Transgender Solidarity Statment

The introduction of changes to the interpretation of the Equality Act 2010 at the beginning of this month (August 2026) and new guidance on the use of single-sex spaces has caused worry within the trans community. The new guidance states that people must use facilities, such as toilets, based on sex assigned at birth.

We want to reassure and make abundantly clear that we stand in solidarity with the trans community, and our services remain open for you.

Our Wellbeing Hub drop-in sessions (Mon, Tue, Wed – 1pm-3pm) remain a space for cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people. Our accessible toilet remains all-gender use.

We will never turn away someone because of their gender identity. If you are a sex worker, or experiencing sexual exploitation, and need support, please reach out to us:
