Basis are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager who will play a crucial role in supporting the Adult Team manager and wider Basis management team to oversee the delivery of intensive support to women in our service offering needs-led, emotional and practical support around accommodation and finance, health and wellbeing, encouragement, family and relationships, accessing services and confidence and self-esteem. The Deputy Manager will not hold a caseload and will be vital in supporting the Service Delivery Manager to manage the team.
The Role includes line managing a small team which is part of the wider Adult Team in Basis alongside supporting the Adult Team Service Delivery Manager in ensuring women receive an exceptional service, and contribute to the strategic development of Basis. The post holder will deputise for the Adult Team Service Delivery Manager in incidents of absence and as and when requested both internally and externally where necessary.
The Adult Outreach team work across Leeds providing services to those who as women and non-binary involved in all aspects of the sex industry and who are sexually exploited. The team work to Basis’ organisational values, taking a rights-based approach and provide evidence-based services to enable and empower women to access services independently. The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling safer working practices. Services are provided at the office, within the community, on evening outreach and at venues as women determine.

You will be based in Leeds (in-office work will be COVID-19 dependent) and may need to work unsocial hours. There is some free parking but parking near the office will also be reimbursed.
