Navigation and Support Worker (Mental Health)

Basis is looking to appoint a Navigation and Support Worker (Mental Health ) who is passionate about advocating for and supporting women involved in sex work or women with experience of sexual exploitation who have multiple needs, including mental health and trauma.  You will be offering 1 to 1 support, supporting and advocating for women, helping women to navigate the wider system including statutory and third sector services in Leeds (where needed the criminal justice system). This role is part of a wider team that works with adult women who identify as sex workers and women who are sexually exploited and abused and part of the Live Well Leeds program.

We are looking for someone who understands how trauma affects people and is able to offer a trauma – informed response, is respectful in engagement with clients, colleagues, and with partner agencies and understands the vital importance of trusting relationships. Job Description Navigation and Support (Mental Health) Live Well Leeds

Deadline:  Midday Dec 20th | Interview date Friday Jan 6th 2023

Salary: 27,139 FTE 

Contract: Maternity Cover until November 2023

You will be based in Leeds and may need to work unsocial hours. There is some free parking but parking near the office will also be reimbursed.
