Governance and Compliance Officer since April 2025
My role
I work at Basis Yorkshire as the Governance and Compliance Officer. I am responsible for ensuring that our charity complies with the relevant legislation. My role also includes leading on areas such as HR, Health and Safety, Policy and Procedures.
My background
Before starting at Basis, I worked as a communications and engagement lead in a local NHS trust, helping to implement new digital projects. My previous role as a development worker for a bereavement charity, included facilitating training and events, as well as helping to identify and meet gaps in support to bereaved people across Leeds. With over twenty years of experience of working in health and social care organisations, I am passionate about helping people to access support to improve their health and wellbeing.
