My role

I’m excited to be supporting the CSE team at Basis Yorkshire and getting to work with the amazing young people we help. My background is in substance use and domestic abuse services, all of which had young people who were at risk of CSE, this fostered my passion for this role. I’ve always wanted to work with young people, I think they’re amazing and consistently astound me with their resilience and growth. I love being able to support staff to develop and be the best worker(s) they can be, organisations are nothing without their people and our people are awesome.

My background

I come from a lived experience background and have had the chance to develop my personal skills into professional skills; I am a big advocate for recovery in whatever way that looks for a person and feel privileged to be able to help people on their journeys.

If I’m not at work, I’m most likely cooking up a storm, playing Pokemon or painting something (that I probably shouldn’t be!).
