It is that time of year when we all get our winter coat out of mothballs and realise it is maybe time to treat ourselves to a new one.  It is also the time of year when our street outreach sessions are done mostly in the dark and the women we support are freezing when we see them!  If anyone is going to treat themselves to a lovely new winter coat PLEASE think about giving your old one to Genesis for me to take on outreach…last year we gave a lady a coat and some gloves, 15 mins later we drove back round and she was all wrapped up and drinking a hot chocolate, she looked happier and she was safer too because when women are cold and just want to go home they might take more risks than if they feel more comfortable. Could you also ask friends if they have coats they no longer need.
