Neurodivergent Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Specialist
My role
I support neurodivergent children and young people of all genders who are at risk of, or have experienced, sexual abuse or exploitation. A big part of my work is building trusting relationships and creating a safe, calm space where young people can be themselves, feel listened to, and know they won’t be judged. My approach is trauma‑informed, holistic, and neurodivergent‑affirming.
My background
I graduated from university in 2022 after studying Law, soon realising my passion lies with supporting marginalised communities. I have previously worked in the charity sector, supporting people with drug and alcohol misuse issues and regularly volunteered on evening outreach with Basis before joining the organisation. More recently, I have completed Level 3 Counselling Skills course to assist me in building therapeutic relationships with the young people I work with.
I tailor support to each young person’s individual needs, communication style, and strengths, exploring topics such as consent, boundaries, sexual health, online safety, self‑esteem, and healthy relationships in ways that make sense to them. I aim to empower young people by helping them make sense of their experiences, strengthen their confidence, and regain a sense of control and safety as they move forward after trauma and abuse.
In my free time, I love going hiking, camping and being out in nature, along with kickboxing.
