NHS Flagship Digital Participation Project – York Street Health Practice with Leeds and Partners

The project has funded Genesis with 4 Nexus 7 tablets so that our adult service users (both street and indoor based) and our Isis service users can access healthcare and learn skills around internet use, improving access to health and learning opportunities. Genesis staff will now be able to make appointments for our street based service users whilst on outreach on Wednesdays and Friday nights. We will be able to access appointments with York Street Health Practice for women to see a doctor, access prescribing appointments and legal advice – amongst the other services offered there. They will also be able to take part in numerous online courses focusing on health and internet use, as well as accessing health information through the NHS Choices website.
